Even though Burnley have accrued the same amount of points as Watford in the past five games, Burnley’s results have been more consistent and against bigger teams. This is own to the fact of losing to two of the top five teams, and even making said games close. Burnley are scrapping and are getting closer to turning these results around. Unlike Watford, Burnley have had much closer games with much stronger teams.

Burnley are looking a more consistent team with five goals in five games, again one of those games was a 3-2 win against Bournemouth, so the Clarets failed to score in two games. The positives to Burnley’s play recently has been keeping the games close. With a -4 goal differential in their past five games, their most convincing defeat was a 2-0 loss to Stoke. Good signs were shown in their games with Man City and Tottenham, losing 2-1 in both games.

Burnley kept it close on Sunday but their loss to Tottenham is starting to put them into a relegation battle. Burnley should however pick up some points in their next three games. With games against; Middlesbrough, Sunderland, and Man City coming up, Burnley should be able to take two points overall at a minimum. A loss is expected against City but if they can take points away from the other two fixtures, watch Burnley start to assert their safety from relegation.

The next team sees their RDA power ranking spot and EPL league position match again, and another relegation candidate with a manager under fire.
