Stoke are slowly putting it back together after a terrible start to the league. With only one loss in the past five games, Stoke City might be able to pull themselves back into European contention. They are now playing to their standards with wins over Burnley and Watford, draws over Southampton and Leicester, and a loss against Arsenal. Their results are what you expect, but those results won’t get them into Europe.

With only six goals in the past five games, Stoke need to up their scoring. However, at least their scoring has been more spread out, with goals in four of the games. Their defensive record has also been very good, only conceding five in the past five games. Stoke are working at a positive differential but they need to make the differential even higher if they want to stay in the top half of the league. They are however keeping everything spread out which is showing some form of consistency.

Stoke might drop down these rankings though with upcoming games against Liverpool, Chelsea, and Watford. They should expect at least three points but Stoke also do like playing the Underdog rule and could easily snatch some points from Chelsea and Liverpool. They are showing consistency but they need to up their game to get into European contention.
Number eight on the RDA power rankings is a team that is slowly finding form again…
