De Gea demands consistency from Manchester United
David De Gea wants Manchester United to kick on after recording back-to-back wins
After winning back-to-back games and getting the confidence back, Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea wants the side to keep the run going and finish the season strongly.
United have been good this year with only one defeat coming their way against Southampton. But with that minor blip, the Red Devils have improved massively this season with their Champions league hopes now looking good again.
The 3-0 win against Stoke City on Tuesday night was the most impressive performance of late, with Anthony Martial again standing out and earning the Man of the Match award. The youngster has been a threat for the whole season and has clearly justified his price tag which came with a lot of criticism at the beginning of the season.

His finish in the first half was the goal of the game as he left keeper Jack Butland without a chance. Jesse Lingard also got on the scoresheet before Wayne Rooney rounded off proceedings.
And with that now giving United some confidence heading into the weekend, De Gea has now demanded that the side get even better. The Spaniard was comfortable against the Potters in goal but has again, been one of the best players for the club this season.
"“I’m really happy with the result and the three points,” David told MUTV, as reported by manutd.com. “We put in a really good performance. Stoke didn’t create many chances and we kept a clean sheet.“They are a great team and the Premier League is always a difficult league in which to keep a clean sheet, but that was the key. Now we need to keep this level up.”"

United’s season has been very up and down but manager Louis van Gaal has decided to ride the wave and continue in charge of the club. So far, that has been a good decision and the 64 year-old is now delivering when most needed.
It was the first time in over 10 games that United had scored a goal in the first half at Old Trafford and De Gea even said it was a relief as it made it easy for the rest of the squad.
"De Gea continued: “We tried to score as soon as possible, and we did that. We got the early goal and that made it easier for us. It was probably one of our best games this season, but we need to keep this level like I said before, because we have really good players in attack – quick, powerful, and they score a lot of goals.“We always have the confidence,” he added. “But in the last couple of games we have scored three goals and I think it’s been really important to us, and given confidence to us to keep this run going.”United have a busy month ahead with challenges in three competitions and next up is Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. “The victory [over Stoke] is a perfect start, we wanted these three points. We need to keep fighting and playing like this, and for sure we will win more games,” he added."
