Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira looking for January move
Midfielder Andreas Pereira has admitted that he would consider a move away from Manchester United in January in order to gain more first-team experience before the end of the season.
Pereira, 20, is currently in the United reserves and starts regularly for the side. He is one of the stand-out performers each week and that has led to him being included in Louis van Gaal’s side.
The Brazilian has played seven times for United this season, netting one goal in the Capital One Cup which was a sublime free-kick. It then seemed like he would get a run in the side but with players returning from injury including Memphis Depay, Ashley Young and Wayne Rooney in recent weeks, it has left Pereira on the sidelines waiting yet again for an opportunity.

And that has now forced the youngster to consider his options with other clubs interested in him. Pereira is seen as one of the bright talents from Brazil as he plays for the U-20 side. And with that interest now increasing with his playing days at United currently limited, he’s admitted that this month could be important for him.
"“I’m a United player, [but] I’ve seen in the press that there are various other clubs interested,” Pereira told GloboEsporte, as reported by SkySports.“I don’t know if United want to loan me out but I’m working hard to get more opportunities. It’s their decision.”"

Van Gaal is a fan of Pereira but with the Red Devils desperate for Champions League football, the 64 year-old boss can’t risk playing Pereira in the big games coming up.
United are keen to keep hold of Pereira with the club rebuilding for the future which he will be part of. But with the Olympics coming up in the summer, Pereira could be one of the players on the plane to his home country if he gets some proper game time. And that is something which is tempting him away from Old Trafford until the end of the season with the Games in August.
"“I’m focused on doing my job at United, [but] of course I want to be more visible to those in Brazil,” he said. “So I need to play more and get more chances. Playing in the Olympics is a big dream of mine.”“[Louis van Gaal] has asked me to keep working hard and that my chance will come. I’m doing my best.“Of course I get frustrated at times that I’m not playing, but the coach is always speaking to me.“I need more game-time and the club will decide with my agent.”"

Pereira could be in the squad to face Southampton but the transfer window is still open for another 10 days. Goalkeeper Victor Valdes is another player set to leave Old Trafford in the next week.
