One not known for his goalscoring exploits, Rio Ferdinand scored one of the most vital goals of his career against Liverpool at Old Trafford in the 90th minute.
Ryan Giggs’ peach of a free-kick from the left flank was met by an equally impressive leap and a powerful header by Ferdinand. The gallant leap resulted in United taking grabbing all three points and sent Gary Neville into a celebration which causes controversy to this very day.
