The atmosphere around the club is much better after the 3-0 victory over Tottenham, not just because of the 3 points but the fact the football was so nice. The fans on Reddit have been sharing their thoughts, as ever on the match and the season as a whole:

Di Maria on the other hand has struggled with his hefty price tag and adapting to life in the Premier League. He missed the Tottenham game through suspension due to the red card he picked up against Arsenal. The problem Louis van Gaal faces is whether he restores the Argentine to the starting eleven or decides to continue with the team that won the game.
Riems is right, and form should not be sacrificed simply because Di Maria cost £60 million. It would also be a real statement of intent from van Gaal. Not only would it show he is determined to secure top 4 by standing by his winning team and not making needless changes. It would also show that no player is bigger than the team and gets in the team on name and value alone. Keeping the team the same would reward everyone who played in the last game for their hard work.
“Blind is a Swiss army knife. Every club needs one, he can do anything he is asked to do.” (from astrotrain 316)
Yet again, the epitome of a Louis van Gaal-esque player. Daley Blind has gradually grown into playing well for United. It is his first season at the club, and first in the Premier League but he is showing signs of real quality. And to add to that, adaptability.
He can play in defence, he can play on the wings. He can play in the middle or as an attacking midfielder. He can do it all, and do it well. That is what van Gaal looks for in his players.
Describing him as a Swiss army knife is one way of putting it. He can do anything he is asked to, making him a key asset to the team. He has covered for Luke Shaw at times, including in the win against Tottenham. The young defender’s fitness hasn’t been great this season so having that cover is a great insurance policy. Blind is happy to play in a multitude of positions and looks to justify his £13 million transfer fee. Soon enough, he will have become priceless for Manchester United.
“Wilson has looked average in every game he’s played in the first team this season, people are rating him too highly.” (from MrFlaminBrownie)
James Wilson hasn’t played for a while, but he has made the step up this season to the first team having played 16 times in all competitions, netting twice. He has been branded the future of Manchester United but talk of him replacing Falcao and Robin van Persie seems a little over the top. He is not a proven goalscorer in the senior game, so a loan move might do him some good to get that vital experience.
He will undoubtedly play more in seasons to come, but for now at least he should be grounded in his evaluation. United legend Teddy Sheringham said that Wilson could score 20 goals a season. Maybe he can. But for now, more needs to be seen before we can really say for certain how good he is.
