Simply a stunning goal. Probably one of the best 30 seconds of the season as Manchester United took the lead at the Allianz Arena in the Champions League quarter-final second leg against the reigning European Champions thanks to the best goal Patrice Evra has ever scored.

United were on their last legs for the season, with winning the competition seemingly the only chance they had of qualifying for the following season’s tournament. After a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford, United’s chances seemed bleak. Then Evra popped up.

A cross from Ashley Young flashed past everyone in the box and rolled to the edge of the penalty area where Patrice Evra ran onto the ball and blasted an unstoppable effort into the top corner.

United’s joy lasted about 30 seconds as Bayern went to the other end almost instantly to equalise and ended up going through but Evra’s final goal in a Manchester United shirt will forever be remembered.
