A truly stunning goal that would win most other competitions for goal of the year.
Back in March Manchester United travelled to the Boleyn Ground to take on West Ham with former legend David Beckham in the crowd. Wayne Rooney took it upon himself to make the match a tribute to Becks with this stunning strike.
The ball was cleared from the Manchester United half when Rooney let the ball bounce over the defender before smashing a first-time volley towards goal from just over the half-way line, bamboozling Adrian in goal and watching the ball bounce into the roof of the net.
