[Credit: @TeamTalk]1-0 down at the Hawthorns and Manchester United were struggling to dominate the middle of the pitch. Ander Herrera was rushed back from a rib injury to play but was struggling, so Louis Van Gaal brought on Belgian giant Fellaini at half-time in the Spaniards place. Neither player nor club have looked back since.
Fellaini came on and began to assert his dominance on the game, using his size and stature to ruffle some feathers and ensure Manchester United kept the ball. Then Fellaini took his moment.
Angel Di Maria drifted in field on his right foot and sent in a high, looping cross towards the West Brom penalty area. Fellaini, being challenged by former Man City defender Joleon Lescott, brushed the center-back away with his arm before taking the ball down on his chest, dragging the ball past his with his next touch before slamming the ball into the top corner past Boaz Myhill with a stunning strike.
It was the Belgian’s first goal for Manchester United and the moment that sparked his renaissance in the Red shirt.
