A lot of things have changed at Manchester United since the arrival of Erik ten Hag as manager. A lot of players who seem to have been struggling beforehand are now playing regular football in the first-team while some who might have been key players in the past no longer have a clear role in this team.

A great example of this are Marcus Rashford and Diogo Dalot, both of whom seem to be shining under the management of Ten Hag and established themselves as undisputed starters.

Rashford had struggled last season badly and many had even raised questions about whether it was time for Manchester United to let him leave the club. Well, things have changed for the Englishman and he is playing some of the best football of his career. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists in 6 appearances this season till now. On the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo has been reduced to an impact substitute.

On the other hand, the whirlwind Manchester United career of Dalot has finally found some stability. Not too long ago, it had felt almost certain that he would be gone from Old Trafford. Now, he seems to be one of the first-team names on the scoresheet while Aaron Wan-Bissaka is struggling to get any playing time.

It looks like both Rashford and Dalot could be set to be rewarded for their performances this season.

As reported by 90min, Manchester United are hopeful of securing Dalot and Rashford to new long-term contracts with the club in the coming months.

The way things are going for Manchester United at the moment, it would certainly make sense for them to hand new deals to Rashford and Dalot.

Both of their current contracts run out next summer but in both cases, Manchester United do have the option to extend it by a year.
