Manchester United make major Robert Lewandowski decision
Manchester United will need to make a splash in the summer. There were a lot of expectations around the club after they brought in the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, after having finished second in the Premier League last season. Thus, many believed that the Red Devils were genuine title contenders this time around. The reality has turned out to be quite different.
After their Champions League elimination at the hands of Atletico Madrid, following a 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford, Manchester United look almost certain to finish their fifth straight season without a trophy. And at this point of time, it will take a big slice of luck for them to even finish in the top four.
Thus, it is clear that changes are required at the club. And a new manager is expected to brought in in the summer, as well as several new players.
In a stunning development, as reported by Sky Sport, Manchester United have already registered their interest in Robert Lewandowski with his advisor, Pini Zahavi.
Manchester United have registered their interest in Lewandowski
Despite being 33 years of age, Lewandowski is arguably the best player in the world right now and has been near the top for the past several years. One could even argue that he is the third best player of his generation behind only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
He will know that if he wants a big move away from Bayern Munich and try a different experience, there’s a very small window left and next summer might potentially be his last chance.
Many clubs might think twice before making a move for a player who is 33 years old but that has not been a problem for Manchester United in recent times. Before Ronaldo, they also signed players like Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
