Manchester United provide Cristiano Ronaldo injury update
Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United has not been as successful as most people would have expected, when he made the move from Juventus in the summer. The Portuguese superstar is no longer the player, who you could depend on to find the back of the net almost every game. In fact, he is going through one of the worst runs of his career in front of goal, and arguably for the first time, appears to be lacking in confidence.
His recent injury has not helped matters either, as he ended up missing the recent Manchester Derby. Manchester United lost the game 4-1.
Despite his disappointing run of form, Ronaldo remains a key player for this Manchester United side and has scored some important goals for them this season. Thus, it goes without saying that the quicker he returns to full fitness, the better for the Red Devils.
There is an update on his situation as well. As reported by Manchester United’s official website, Ronaldo has been working separately as he looks to regain full fitness following a hip problem.
Manchester United provide Ronaldo injury update
Ronaldo has been nowhere near his best this season. At 37 years of age, it could very well be the beginning of a slide in productivity for the Manchester United superstar.
But one thing that has become clear over the years is that never count Ronaldo out. He has made a career out of proving critics wrong and is one of the greatest to ever kick a football.
Thus, do not be surprised if he comes up with a winner in Manchester United’s upcoming Champions League Round of 16 second leg against Atletico Madrid. The tie is finely balanced right now, after the first leg finished 1-1 at Wanda Metropolitano. For that to happen though, he will have to regain his fitness first.
