Manchester City suffer injury scare before facing Manchester United
Both Manchester United and Manchester City find themselves in a bit of a sticky situation right now. Of course, the Red Devils have much bigger worries, as they are in a tight race to finish in the top four of the Premier League and could very well be headed towards their fifth straight trophyless season. But that does not mean that Pep Guardiola’s side do not have their own problems.
Not too long ago, it was looking like another cruise to the Premier League trophy for Manchester City. But, their form has dipped in recent weeks. On the other hand, there has been no stopping Liverpool, and as a result, Jurgen Klopp’s side have cut down the gap considerably and the title race is very much on.
Thus, the upcoming Manchester Derby is even more important than normal, for both teams. And Guardiola has been left sweating over the fitness of Ruben Dias.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Dias was substituted off at half-time against Peterborough United with what Guardiola called a leg injury. He is currently undergoing tests.

Dias has been a leader at the back for Manchester City since joining the club and if he was to miss the game against Manchester United, it would be a huge blow for them.
Of course, on the opposite end, that would be viewed as a boost for Manchester United’s chances of winning the Derby, as the Red Devils have struggled in front of goal in recent times despite having players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and more in their ranks.
One thing that should give Manchester United encouragement going into the game is that although there is no comparison between the two clubs in recent years when it comes to success, the Red Devils’ record in derbies has been quite good.
