Manchester United look to be edging closer towards losing one of their most talented players in Paul Pogba as his contract expires next summer. Since rejoining the club from Juventus in 2016, the French World Cup winner may not have enjoyed a great deal of success for the Red Devils, but he is still considered one of the best in the world when on form. We have seen glimpses of that in recent games.
Having missed months of action through injury, Pogba has not played much for Manchester United this season. But when fit, he can add a completely different dimension to the club’s midfield. He has the ability to single-handedly open up opposition defences.
Pogba will be a free agent next summer unless he ends up signing an extension with the club. And while that cannot be ruled out, Manchester United are yet to make a breakthrough in contract talks.
The overall situation with Pogba has left Manchester United fans with a sense of uncertainty. And now, it looks like he could potentially make a shock move in the summer.
Pogba could make shock move after Manchester United exit
As reported by The Telegraph, Pogba will be open to Premier League offers if he leaves Manchester United in the summer.
In the past, the midfield maestro has gotten linked with a move to Manchester City. Liverpool had also been rumoured as a possible destination at one point. And could Chelsea be interested in uniting him with N’Golo Kante at the club level?
Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona have been linked with Pogba most frequently in recent times. But now, it looks like a move to the Premier League is not out of the question either. Of course, if that does happen, it would not make him a popular figure amongst Manchester United fans.
