Manchester United brought in Ralf Rangnick as the club’s interim manager till the end of the season when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was shown the exit door. The German is expected to take a consultancy role at Old Trafford at the end of the season while a long-term appointment in the managerial hot seat is expected to be made in the summer. And it remains to be seen who the Red Devils end up bringing in.
They will definitely need to get this one right. Since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, things have not worked out for Manchester United in the managerial department at all, with experienced managers like Jose Mourinho, Louis van Gaal and David Moyes failing to make their mark at Old Trafford.
One man who has been heavily linked with the job in recent times is Mauricio Pochettino and at this point of time, his future at PSG looks to be pretty much up in the air.
PSG were knocked out of the round of 16 of the French Cup although, they look set to win back the Ligue 1 title. But as reported by Telefoot (via Mirror), Pochettino’s future could hinge on whether they progress past Real Madrid in the last 16 of the Champions League.
Manchester United could get huge Pochettino chance soon
PSG have without a doubt not matched the expectations that they would have had coming out of the summer transfer window, having signed players like Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma and others.
Pochettino has not been able to get the best out of their incredibly talented squad. In fact, they have appeared to take a step back and no longer look as dominant as they have in the past.
Rumours have suggested that they are looking to bring in Zinedine Zidane as their manager next season. That would be an opportunity for Manchester United, who have been linked with Pochettino for a long time.
