Considering the amount of rumours surrounding Manchester United, not much has happened at Old Trafford during the January transfer window. Things have certainly picked up a bit of pace in recent days though, with Anthony Martial joining Sevilla on loan till the end of the season while Amad has joined the Rangers and has already opened his account for the Scottish club as well, scoring on his debut.

There are still quite a few players at Manchester United though who have not gotten a lot of playing time this season and could do with a spell away on loan.

Rumours have continued to surround the club in recent days and it remains to be seen how things turn out as we head toward the Deadline Day of the January transfer window.

Could it turn out to be an exciting one for Manchester United fans?

It is only recently that Jones returned to first-team action, after struggling with a long-term injury for the last couple of years. Considering that, he put in a very good performance and was one of Manchester United’s best players on the day.

But even then, it is unlikely that he will get a lot of playing time moving forward and as a result, a move away on loan could do him well.

In fact, Manchester United appear to be open to the idea as well and even reached an agreement with Bordeaux, although Jones ended up turning it down. Fabrizio Romano tweeted out:

It does go on to show though that Manchester United are ready to send Jones out on loan and as a result, could a move still happen on Deadline Day?
