Manchester United had been linked with a move for Jadon Sancho for years but had not been able to agree a deal with Borussia Dortmund for the English international. That changed in the previous summer transfer window though and the Red Devils were finally able to bring the winger to Old Trafford in one of the biggest transfers in the club’s history. Unfortunately, things have not gone as they would have envisioned since then.

Sancho has struggled badly since joining Manchester United in the summer. He had been one of the most effective wingers in the world during his time at Borussia Dortmund but he has surprisingly struggled to make an impact ever since moving to Old Trafford.

It is natural that he would take some time to adjust to his new surroundings but even then, not many would have expected him to have as rough of a start as he has had till now.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Sancho has scored twice and provided no assists in 23 appearances for Manchester United till now.

Manchester United have massive Sancho problem on their hands

It is safe to say that Sancho has underwhelmed tremendously ever since arriving at Manchester United. Many would have expected him to be a standout performer this season but the reality has proven to be very different.

Of course, he is still very young and has a lot of time on his side to turn things around but overall, things are certainly looking worrying if you are a Manchester United fan. Slowly but surely, he is becoming a bit of a forgotten man.

It will be very interesting to see if Sancho can able to turn things around over the coming weeks and months. There was a feeling that the arrival of Ralf Rangnick as interim manager would lead to his rise at Old Trafford but that has not happened yet.
