Manchester United are expected to be hoping to sort out some things this month. It includes not only incomings and outgoings but also evaluating the situations of those currently out on loan, away from Old Trafford. With the Red Devils having a lot of players in the ranks, there are quite a few away from the club on a temporary basis right now.
These are generally youngsters or players who have not gotten much playing time during their time at Manchester United. One such player out on loan right now is Facundo Pellistri.
Signed in the 2020 summer transfer window, Pellistri was somewhat of a surprising addition. He was clearly someone that the club were hoping to develop into a star and while he is yet to play a single minute of football for the senior team, he showed glimpses of brilliance while playing for the club’s youth sides before leaving on loan.
In the summer, he returned to Manchester United from a half-a-season loan spell with Alaves and would soon join the Spanish club again in another temporary switch. But now, Pellistri’s future seems to be up in the air.
The Manchester United youngster has a big decision to make
As reported by Marca, with Pellistri playing less than 1000 minutes of football before December, Manchester United have the option to call him back. But the Red Devils have decided to leave the decision in the hands of the footballer himself although they would welcome him back and even prefer for him to go to a Championship club on loan.
On the other hand, it is believed that Alaves want Pellistri to remain at the club although he is not performing as well as they would have hoped for.
And ultimately, Pellistri does not want to rush into making a decision about his future although it is true that he is not playing as much football as he would like.
