Manchester United already had a lot of problems to deal with as they sit at seventh in the Premier League right now and face an uphill task to finish in the top four of the competition this season. Thus, the club will know that they will need to improve drastically over the coming weeks and months. Now though, a controversy has risen involving Anthony Martial and Ralf Rangnick, which has grabbed most of the headlines.

After the game against Aston Villa, Rangnick had claimed that Martial did not want to be part of the squad on the day, which is why he had been left out. But the Frenchman would take to social media later to insist that he had never refused to play for Manchester United.

Thus, it is not hard to see why this is a sticky situation for the Red Devils and now, they have appeared to reach a decision.

As reported by the Mirror, Rangnick has been advised to bring Martial back into the fold, with Manchester United struggling to find him a new club.

Manchester United make decision after Martial controversy

Martial was once considered one of the most important players at Manchester United and someone who had the potential to develop into one of the best in the world.

He even showed glimpses of that potential by topping the Manchester United scoring charts in the 2019/20 season. Since then though, things have not gone the Frenchman’s way.

He has struggled for form and fitness, and now, it appears that he is looking to leave the club in January itself. The likes of Sevilla, Barcelona and Juventus have been linked with a move for Martial but till now, nothing has transpired.

And with half of the January transfer window already gone, it is a real possibility that Martial might have to remain at Manchester United beyond this month.
