One player who could be on his way out of Manchester United on loan this month is Amad. He joined the club last season in a big move from Atalanta and has already played a bit of senior football for the Red Devils as well, even scoring against AC Milan in the Europa League. But all things considered, he needs to be playing more regular football right now and as a result, a temporary spell away from Old Trafford might be the right step for him.

He was heavily linked with a loan move to Feyenoord in the summer but it did not transpire as a result of him picking up an injury. Now though, he is once again being linked with a move away from the club in search of regular football.

Clubs from abroad, including Borussia Dortmund, are believed to have an eye on the young winger although some rumours have suggested that Manchester United could be looking to send him to a Championship club to get a taste of the English game.

Perhaps naturally, some rumours have linked him with Derby County, currently managed by Wayne Rooney. But the Manchester United legend feels that it is unlikely that Amad will end up there in January. Fabrizio Romano tweeted out comments from him:

It is unlikely that the Manchester United youngster will join Derby County

It is safe to say that a loan spell away from Old Trafford could be the right step for Amad, who despite his unquestionable talent and potential, has not played a lot of senior level football till now.

It remains to be seen where he ends up, considering that a wide number of clubs are believed to hold an interest.

But judging from Rooney’s comments, it feels unlikely that he will join Derby County, who are hoping to avoid relegation.
