Manchester United will go into the game against Aston Villa knowing that they will need to put in a solid performance to come out of Villa Park with all three points. Steven Gerrard’s side were arguably the better team when they met in the FA Cup third round recently although it was the Red Devils who managed to walk out with a 1-0  win on the occasion thanks to a goal from Scott McTominay.

Interestingly, McTominay will not be available for this game as he is suspended, having picked up five bookings in the Premier League. Luke Shaw won’t be available for the same reason.

As a result, Ralf Rangnick has some decisions to make for sure and he will know that Manchester United need all three points from this game, having lost in their previous Premier League game, against Wolves.

One would expect the German coach to stick with his 4-2-2-2 system, although it has brought mixed outcomes tie now. While the performances have not been good, one cannot deny the fact that the results have improved for Manchester United although they still might not be up to the mark.

Here’s how we think Ralf Rangnick will line Manchester United up when they take on Aston Villa in the Premier League this weekend:

One of the two players in this Manchester United team who is sure to start in important games at this point of time is De Gea.

He has completely turned his form around this time around after a few underwhelming seasons and looks back to his best once again. And on current form, it is hard to see the Spaniard being dropped any time soon. It is hard to believe that a few months back, it had looked like he was on his way out of Old Trafford.
