Manchester United have several players out on loan at this point of time and they are expected to continue sending some out on loan in January as well. Amad and Anthony Elanga are two of the club’s most highly-rated youngsters who have been linked with loan exits recently and it remains to be seen what the future holds for the exciting duo.
One player who is already out on loan is Andreas Pereira, as he has enjoyed a solid time at Flamengo till now.
While coming through the youth ranks at Manchester United, Pereira was very highly rated and many believed that he could go on to become a regular in their first-team at Old Trafford. That has not happened though.
After a few disappointing loan spells away as well, it looks like Pereira has finally found his feet, at Flamengo. And it appears that the player might be looking to make his loan stay at the Brazilian club permanent.
Manchester United player has verbal agreement with loan club
As reported by Bolavip, Flamengo have a verbal agreement with Pereira and his contract will be for four years. Now though, the deal depends on Manchester United.
It must be said though that it does not look like Pereira will be a regular feature in Manchester United’s first-team any time soon.
According to stats from Transfermarkt, Pereira has made 75 appearances for Manchester United till now, scoring 4 goals and providing 5 assists. Those are not great numbers.
He is 26 years of age as well and his current deal with the Red Devils is believed to run out in the summer of 2023. Thus, at this point of time, it might the best step for both the club and the player to go their separate ways. It remains to be seen what the future holds though. But do not be surprised if Pereira does join Flamengo on a permanent basis.
