Amad arrived at Manchester United last season with a lot of expectations surrounding him. The Red Devils are believed to have shelled out an initial €21 million transfer fee plus €20 million in add-ons to sign the youngster from Atalanta. The teenager is unlikely to make an impact in the first-team this season though and looks set to be sent out on loan till the end of the campaign.

He had appeared to be on the verge of joining Feyenoord on loan in the summer but it failed to materialise after he picked up an injury.

Now, Amad has been linked with a loan move away from Manchester United in January as well and it had looked liked he was closing in on a temporary switch to Birmingham City. But it looks like that is set to collapse too.

Fabrizio Romano tweeted out the latest update regarding the Amad situation:

The Manchester United youngster’s proposed loan move could collapse again

Amad has shown a lot of promise for Manchester United’s youth sides till now but is yet to make a big impact on the senior side.

He has made a few appearances for the club and even scored an important goal against AC Milan last season but overall, it does not look like he is ready to be a first-team regular yet. Thus, a loan move away seems to be the right step for him at this stage of his career.

It looks like he will definitely leave on loan in January. The only thing that is not certain at the moment is his destination. There are believed to be four proposals on the table with Feyenoord still interested. But the priority seems to be to join a UK club.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Amad and one can only hope that he will get his loan move this time around.
