Things have not been going Manchester United’s way this season. They entered the campaign with hopes of challenging for the Premier League title but their start was very disappointing to say the least. Ultimately, the club decided to part ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who had been in the managerial hot seat for nearly three years. Ralf Rangnick was brought in as the interim manager till the end of the season in his place.

There was a lot of excitement initially surrounding the arrival of the German coach but a few weeks on and that seems to have faded away.

Manchester United have struggled to find the back of the net with Rangnick in charge and have scored more than once only on one occasion till now. And rumours are already emerging about several players being unhappy and looking to leave.

Fred decided to take to social media to respond to these rumours though. The Manchester United star tweeted out:

Fred has responded to recent Manchester United rumours

Fred is someone who has been a regular in Manchester United’s first-team for a while now even though he had his fair share of critics over the years.

With the way things are going at Old Trafford right now, with the club sitting at 7th in the Premier League and without a trophy in over four seasons, it is not a surprise that several Manchester United players are being linked away.

Now, it is up to them to turn this season around. There is no doubt about the fact that they have one of the best squads in the Premier League right now but their performances on the pitch have not reflected that for a while.

The mood around Manchester United might not be great at the moment but it will only take a run of good results to turn it around completely.
