Manchester United have not won a trophy in over four seasons now and if they are to bring an end to that streak this time around, the FA Cup is most probably their best chance to do so. It is always incredibly difficult to win the Champions League, even though the Red Devils have impressed in Europe this season. On the other hand, they are already out of the League Cup and even finishing in the top four of the Premier League could prove to be tough for them.

While not an easy task by any means, the FA Cup represents their most realistic opportunity to bring some silverware to Old Trafford this season.

As a result, the club must name a strong side when they face Aston Villa in their third round tie at Old Trafford.

But at the same time, there are quite a few players, who Ralf Rangnick needs to give a run out in the park.

When Manchester United signed Van de Beek, he arrived with a lot of expectations, having proven himself at domestic, European and international level.

His time at Old Trafford has been very disappointing till now though, as he has spent the majority of his time sitting on the bench.

When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was shown the exit door, many believed that it would open the door of opportunity for Van de Beek but that has not been the case, as he has continued to struggle to get first-team minutes even after the arrival of Rangnick as the interim manager. He certainly deserves some against Aston Villa though.
