There are a lot of areas that Manchester United need to strengthen in, as has become evident from the club’s performances this season as they have struggled to find their form and produce results, despite bringing in absolute superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane in the summer. Instead, they have appeared to take a step back this time around.

Last season, Manchester United had finished second in the Premier League and were expected to put up a title challenge this time around.

Instead, it looks like they have a tough task on their hands even breaking into the top four, although the struggles of Chelsea and West Ham United does give them some hope.

One area that the club need to strengthen in though is their midfield, if they are to take the next step forward. And there are some Premier League stars who could be brilliant additions to the club.

Neves is a player who has been linked with Manchester United for a long time without the move ever transpiring till now.

Neves has been a regular in Wolves’ midfield for a long time now and it is hard to believe that he is still just 24 years of age.

Thus, it might be the perfect time for the Portuguese international to make a move and Manchester United might be the perfect destination for him, as he would bring something different to the Red Devils’ midfield.

Wolves are believed to want a transfer fee higher than £40 million to let their star midfielder leave and it remains to be seen if Manchester United do end up making a move for him in the future.
