At the start of the season, Manchester United surely must have had hopes of putting up a title challenge. They had finished second in the previous season and had kept the core of that squad together, while also adding the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Tom Heaton to it. There was a lot of confidence around Old Trafford after a long time and understandably so.

A few months on and the picture is very different as it looks like Manchester United will need to up their game to even finish in the top four this season, as the Red Devils have struggled till now.

One of the biggest reasons behind that is the form of some of their superstars, as many have failed to recapture their form from last season.

And if the club are to have a successful campaign this time around, it goes without saying that they need to step up.

It is easy to forget that Rashford is still just 24 years of age, having been part of the Manchester United first-team for a long time now. But it must be said that his form this season has left a lot to be desired.

He played a large part of the previous campaign with an injury and had to undergo surgery. After his return, he did put in some solid performances but it is safe to say that his form has faded away badly since then.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Rashford has scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist in 14 appearances this season. The English international will need to improve a lot moving forward, with competition for places higher than ever before in his career.
