It has been only been a month since Ralf Rangnick was appointed as the interim manager of Manchester United. It is not a long-term appointment and he is set to stay in the managerial hot seat only till the end of the season, after which he will take a consultancy role at Old Trafford for two years. It appears that the German coach is already facing problems at the club though, just a few matches in.

The start was splendid under the new manager, as they put in a terrific performance in his first game in charge to get a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace. Things have appeared to slip since then though.

A 1-1 draw against Young Boys was followed by a narrow 1-0 win over Norwich City, with a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty kick proving to be the difference and then, they put in an uninspired display against Newcastle Untied in what was an unexpected 1-1 draw.

And as reported by the Daily Mail, the mood at the training ground is said to be very low and the players are struggling to adjust to Rangnick’s later training sessions and left in the dark at 5pm on Tuesday.

Rangnick already facing problems at Manchester United

It is safe to say that the situation is far from ideal for the German coach. The club were expected to challenge for the Premier League title this season but now, it looks like they have a challenge on their hands when it comes to finishing in the top four.

Of course, there is still a lot of time left to turn things around but the signs are not looking very positive at the moment.

Naturally, the players were expected to take some time to adjust to Rangnick’s style and hopefully that will happen quickly. Otherwise, the future does not look very bright for Manchester United’s season.
