Anthony Martial agrees move to leave Manchester United
Anthony Martial was one of the most highly-rated young players in world football when Manchester United signed him from AS Monaco back in 2015. The club had broken the record for a transfer fee paid for a teenager at that point of time to bring the Frenchman to Old Trafford and many believed that he had the talent to become the best player in the world one day.
Martial has been at Manchester United for quite some time since then and it is safe to say that his run at Old Trafford has been up and down. At times, he has looked absolutely brilliant, at others, he has struggled badly.
Now though, it feels like his time at Manchester United could be close to coming to an end. Martial has not been a regular in the starting XI for a while and it has emerged recently that he is looking for a move away as early as January.
And as reported by TUTTOmercatoWEB (via Express), Martial has reached an agreement in principle to join Sevilla.
Martial agrees Sevilla move as he eyes Manchester United exit
It is not hard to see why Martial appears to be looking to leave Manchester United as early as next month. He has struggled recently and has barely featured for the Red Devils this season, falling behind Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford in the pecking order.
Martial enjoyed a tremendous 2019/20 campaign, finishing as Manchester United’s top scorer that season. But since then, the Frenchman has not been able to find his form and struggled to hit the back of the net.
Martial has also been linked with Barcelona and Juventus in recent times but rumours have suggested that he prefers a move to Sevilla as he believes he would get more playing time there.
