Manchester United could find themselves in a sticky position over the next few transfer windows, with several of their players being linked with Old Trafford exits. Some of them have struggled for playing time, there are others whose contracts are running out and in case of some, it is both. The situation is far from ideal to say the least and it will be interesting to see how the Red Devils navigate through it.

One player whose Manchester United future has been up in the air for a long time is Paul Pogba. The French World Cup winner’s current deal will run out next summer and a contract extension does not seem on the horizon right now.

He has been linked with a potential return to Juventus as well. And it looks like the Italian giants might have a plan too.

As tweeted out by Rudy Galetti, they could offer Manchester United Alex Sandro and Adrien Rabiot in a swap deal for Pogba in January:

Juventus could offer Manchester United swap deal for Pogba

Now, at first sight, that does not look like a very tempting deal for Manchester United. While both Sandro and Rabiot are solid players, neither of them have been in the best of form in recent times.

On the other hand, while Pogba has struggled a bit as well, on top of his game, he is one of the best midfielders in world football.

The problem for Manchester United is that his contract will run out soon and he could walk out of the club as a free agent, a situation that they would be hoping to avoid.

Also, he has not been a huge part of the starting XI in recent months. Thus, could a swap offer make sense for Manchester United? It remains to be seen what the future holds.
