Manchester United have one of the strongest squads in Europe right now but they might be in need of a reshuffle in the not too distant future, with a number of players being linked with Old Trafford exits. Most of the recent rumours have surrounded the likes of Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial, Dean Henderson and a few others. But it is important to remember that Paul Pogba’s current deal runs out at the end of this campaign.

Pogba started the season in brilliant form, providing four assists against Leeds United in the first Premier League game of the campaign. But since then, his form his faded away significantly and currently, he finds himself on the sidelines with an injury.

He has not featured even once since the arrival of Ralf Rangnick and it will be interesting to see if he can find his place in the starting XI when he does eventually return from injury.

It looks like the club might have their eyes on midfielders for the future though. As tweeted out by Rudy Galetti, Manchester United are interested in Franck Kessie, who is also wanted by Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain.

Manchester United interested in Kessie but other clubs also in the race

Kessie has been a standout performer in the Serie A in recent seasons. But his current deal with AC Milan runs out next summer and he has not agreed a contract extension till now.

Thus, there might be an opportunity to sign one of the best young midfielders in the world on a free transfer next summer.

If there is any possibility of it happening, Manchester United must definitely consider making a move. There is expected to be a lot of interest in Kessie’s signature though. While Tottenham Hotspur and PSG appear to be in the race right now, it would not be a surprise to see more clubs emerge over the coming months.
