The arrival of Ralf Rangnick as Manchester United’s interim manager till the end of the season gives a chance to several players to make a fresh start. There are many who were not getting a lot of playing time under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but now, they might have the opportunity to get back in the first-team shuffle if they can impress the new manager. We have already seen a few of them do that.

On the other hand, there are also quite a few regulars under Solskjaer who might now need to prove themselves once again. Otherwise, they could end up struggling to get into the starting XI.

The style of football that Rangnick’s sides are known to play is very different to that of Solskjaer, and that will play a major factor in selection as well.

Overall, things could get very interesting at Old Trafford moving forward.

Manchester United: 3 stars who need to impress Ralf Rangnick

Here are three Manchester United stars who need to impress Ralf Rangnick if they are to remain in the Red Devils’ starting XI:

Pogba had made a tremendous start to the season and was playing some brilliant football early on in the campaign. But his form faded away significantly with time and even before the departure of Solskjaer, he had found himself sitting on the bench at times.

And the Frenchman is out with an injury right now, meaning he has not been available for selection since Rangnick arrived.

On the other hand, Manchester United’s midfield has done surprisingly well over the past month or so. As a result, Pogba will have a mountain to climb to get back into the starting XI when he returns to fitness.

Then there is his contract situation, with his current deal running out next summer and his Manchester United future very much up in the air at this point of time.
