Manchester United did a tremendous job keeping the core of their squad together in the summer while bringing in players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton at the same time. The picture could be very different in future transfer windows though as several players have struggled for playing time at Old Trafford this season and could be looking to leave soon.

It has already emerged that Anthony Martial wants to leave the club in January in search of playing time and the futures of players like Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard and Donny van de Beek remain up in the air as well.

And now, it looks like another Manchester United star is looking towards the Old Trafford exit after not getting many minutes on the pitch this season. That player is Dean Henderson.

As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, Henderson is now prepared to leave Manchester United as his priority is to play. Whether it will happen in January or in the summer will depend on the offers.

Henderson is ready to leave Manchester United after struggling for game time

After a fruitful loan spell at Sheffield United, Henderson had returned to Manchester United last season. And in the second half of the campaign, it had looked like he had managed to become the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.

He played much more frequently than David de Gea in the second half of the season as it appeared that the Spaniard was headed out of Old Trafford after a few underwhelming seasons.

De Gea has turned it around this season though and is back to his best. On the other hand, Henderson has not featured much and is firmly behind the Spanish goalkeeper in the pecking order once again. Thus, it looks like his future could lie away from Old Trafford although it remains to be seen how things turn out.
