Manchester United got all three points once again as their good run of form continued. And it is safe to say that while there is still a long way to go, the season is back on track for the Red Devils. Just like last week, they got a 1-0 win, this time away against Norwich City. Cristiano Ronaldo proved to be the difference between the two sides, as he scored from the penalty spot in the 75th minute to send the club up to fifth.

Now, the aim will well and truly be on getting back in the top four. And they have put themselves in this position quicker than most people would have expected.

Overall, this was a very positive result for Manchester United but that does not mean that there are not things to look back on and improve.

Things could have very easily gone the other way and it is clear that Ralf Rangnick has several areas to work on over the coming weeks.

Norwich City vs Manchester United: 3 things we learned

Here are three things we learned as Manchester United got a narrow 1-0 win against Norwich City with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring from the penalty spot:

Manchester United nowhere near their best

Manchester United were nowhere near their best on this occasion. Last week, the performance against Crystal Palace was brilliant and the 1-0 scoreline was not a great reflection of their dominant display.

The same cannot be said for this game against Norwich City. The Canaries may be sitting at the bottom of the Premier League but they could have very easily gotten a result against the Red Devils on the day.

And Manchester United might even consider themselves a bit lucky to get all three points on this occasion. While that is what matters most right now, the performances will definitely need to improve if Rangnick’s side are to get back into the top four and then stay there for any considerable length of time.
