Things are looking up for Manchester United once again. Following the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, they have not tasted defeat. And the performances under Ralf Rangnick have shown a clear change in approach from the players, as the Red Devils are expected to move towards a more pressing style of play. There appears to be good news on the injury front as well.

Manchester United have had their fair share of injuries this season, which have been a huge reason behind their struggles.

One of the players who has barely featured this time around is Edinson Cavani. He picked up a tendon injury several weeks ago and has been out of action since.

He recently returned to training though and now, it appears that he could be possibly involved in the upcoming game against Norwich City. As reported by Manchester United’s official website, when asked if the club could count on some of the absentees over the busy festive period, Rangnick said:

"“Yes, very much so. Tomorrow’s game, the only possible candidate might be Edi. We have to wait and see.“He was training with the team yesterday and a couple of days before that so we have to wait and see how he feels today.”"

Cavani could make Manchester United return vs Norwich City

Cavani could possibly make his return to action in the game against Norwich City. But even if he does not, it is pretty clear that he is slowly closing in on a comeback.

Not too long ago, Cavani was expected to be the man leading the line for Manchester United this season. But following the return of Cristiano Ronaldo to Old Trafford, he has found playing time harder to come by.

But even then, it is pretty clear that the Uruguayan still brings a lot to the table. In the second half of last season, he was looking like one of the best players in the world when on top form. And he was playing well before he picked up the tendon injury this season.

Hopefully, he can match those performances when he does eventually return to action.
