Manchester United have had their fair share of injury problems in this campaign and it is one of the biggest reasons behind their early season struggles. Things have been looking up for them on the pitch recently though with both performances and results improving over the past few weeks, and now, it looks like there is some good news on the injury front as well.

As reported by Manchester Evening News, Raphael Varane, Jesse Lingard, Luke Shaw and Edinson Cavani have all returned to training ahead of their UEFA Champions League group stage game against Young Boys.

Varane has had his injury problems since arriving at Manchester United and has been out for weeks with a hamstring injury. Lingard missed the game against Crystal Palace due to an ankle problem but now looks back in contention.

Cavani was put out of action due to a tendon injury just when it had looked like he was finding his form. And Shaw has missed the past few games due to concussion.

It is safe to say that this is brilliant news for Manchester United. While it is not clear when we will see these players in action next, things are certainly looking up.

Ralf Rangnick has a huge task on his hands if he is get the Red Devils back in the title race. And if he is to have any chance of doing that, he will need as many options as he can get. All four of these players are capable of making big impacts on the first-team.

Manchester United are next set to face Young Boys in their final game of the Champions League group stage and for a change, the Red Devils can take this one a bit more lightly than usual, having already booked their place in the knockout stage.
