It is official, Ralf Rangnick is the Manchester United interim manager. And it is safe to say that there is a lot of intrigue surrounding the move. One of the most highly regarded and influential managers of his generation, it will be interesting to see how the German does in the Premier League. Of course, he has his work cut out for him, with the Red Devils currently sitting at 8th in the table and already 12 points off the top.

There have been some questions raised about how Rangnick’s style of football would fit in with that of the current Manchester United squad.

Paul Pogba is someone whose Old Trafford future has been up in the air for a while now. And he is also someone who might not be a natural fit in Rangnick’s high intensity, pressing style. But the Frenchman appears to be looking forward to playing under the German’s management.

As reported by The Athletic, Pogba is said to be enthused by the idea of working under Rangnick, having received positive feedback about the manager from contacts in the game.

Could Pogba have a future at Manchester United beyond this season?

The biggest question surrounding Pogba right now is whether he will remain at Manchester United beyond the 2021/22 campaign.

His current deal runs out next summer and there is a good chance that the French midfield maestro could end up departing as a free agent. There is not expected to be any lack of interest in his signature with clubs like Real Madrid, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and many others believed to be interested.

Let’s see if working with Rangnick ends up having any effect on his Old Trafford future and whether the German manager is finally able to get the best out of the French World Cup winner in a Manchester United shirt. At the moment, Pogba is out injured.
