The upcoming away game against Watford will be very important for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United. The Red Devils have been in a bad run of form and need to get a big win to get some of their confidence back. And while there are no easy games in the Premier League, the club should be confident going into the next one, with their opponents sitting at 17th in the points table just above the relegation zone.

After facing Watford, Manchester United will go into another tough run of games. Thus, they need all three points tomorrow.

But injury worries look set to continue for Solskjaer’s side. Edinson Cavani has missed the recent game against Manchester City and it looks like he has not completely recovered over the international break, remaining an injury doubt.

As reported by Manchester United’s official website, Solskjaer said about the Uruguayan striker:

"“He’s one of the doubts as well, Edi.“Before the City game, he had to pull out of, more or less, the last training session as he didn’t feel right. He’s one we assess every single day and he’ll contribute when he gets back in. If it’s this weekend or not, I can’t tell you.”"

Cavani is an injury doubt for Manchester United’s upcoming game against Watford

In the game against Tottenham Hotspur, Solskjaer had switched up his system and gone with three at the back. Two players who had shined on that day in a dominant 3-0 win were Cavani and Raphael Varane, as many felt that the manager had finally found the solution to many of the club’s problems.

It is safe to say that things have not gone Manchester United’s way since then. Varane was injured in the very next game against Atalanta and Cavani has been dealing with fitness issues as well.

Thus, it has made it very hard for Solskjaer to use the system which had brought some great success and showed brilliant potential against Tottenham Hotspur, without two of his key players.

One can only hope that Cavani is back to full fitness and on the pitch as soon as possible. If Manchester United are to put this bad run of form behind them, the Uruguayan is someone that they will definitely need.
