Manchester United: 3 players who should play more
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer finds himself in a tough spot at Manchester United right now. His Old Trafford future is very much up in the air after the start that the club have made to their season. They currently sit at sixth in the Premier League table and are already out of the League Cup. Their strong position in the Champions League appears to be the only silver lining for the club at the moment.
Solskjaer needs to switch things up after the international break as it is clear that things are not working right now.
One of the changes that the Manchester United manager can make immediately is give more chances to players who have not played a lot of football.
There are certainly quite a few talented players who have spent a lot of time sitting on the bench recently. It might be time to give them a run in the first-team and see how they do.
3 Manchester United players who should play more after the international break
Here are three Manchester United players that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to give more chances to after the international break:
Donny van de Beek
When Donny van de Beek arrived at Manchester United, many expected him to be a regular part of the playing XI. He was even considered as the long-term replacement for Paul Pogba, who appeared to be on his way out of the club at that point of time.
It is safe to say that things have not quite gone that way for the Dutch midfielder. In fact, they have gone in completely the opposite direction.
Van de Beek has barely featured for Manchester United recently and has spent most of his time sitting on the bench. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has only played 154 minutes of football this season.
When he has been on the pitch though, he has impressed. And deserves to play more after the international break.
