While we might be fast approaching the January transfer window, most of the recent rumours and speculation surrounding Manchester United has been about the club’s managerial situation. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains in the Old Trafford hot seat for the time being despite the disappointing start to the campaign but you have to feel that if things don’t improve quickly, the club might have no other choice but to make a change

Several managers have been linked with the club as potential candidates to replace Solskjaer, in case the Red Devils decided to make a change. Zinedine Zidane, Mauricio Pochettino, Brendan Rodgers, Erik ten Hag, Ralf Rangnick and several other names have been brought up.

Of course, it is easy to understand why the club have been reluctant to make a change as it could be difficult to bring a replacement in in the middle of the season.

But as reported by The Sun, Rodgers is house-hunting in Cheshire. This news will only intensify the rumours linking the former Liverpool manager with the Manchester United job.

Will Manchester United change managers in the middle of the season?

It is not hard to understand why Manchester United have been linked with a potential move for Rodgers, who many believe is the top choice to replace Solskjaer at Old Trafford, if the club ended up parting ways with the Norwegian manager.

Rodgers has done a tremendous job ever since arriving at Leicester City a couple of years back. He has guided them to an FA Cup and a Community Shield, and they competed for a top four spot in both his full seasons with the Foxes, although they fell narrowly short on both occasions.

Thus, Rodgers has established himself as one of the top managers in world football and if Manchester United were able to bring him in, it would be considered a major coup.
