Manchester United have two world-class strikers in their squad right now in the form of Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani while the likes of Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial are also capable of playing there. But it is a position that the club might need to strengthen in in the next summer transfer window.

While both Ronaldo and Cavani might be brilliant players, at the end of the day, they are 36 and 34 years of age respectively. Also, the Uruguayan is expected to depart Old Trafford at the end of the season.

Thus, it should not come as any surprise if the Red Devils decided to make an addition or two up front next summer.

And there are quite a few brilliant players that the club should have their eyes on when it comes to signing strikers.

3 strikers Manchester United should target next summer

Here are three strikers that Manchester United should target in the upcoming summer transfer window, in order to strengthen their squad:

Erling Haaland

Erling Haaland is most probably the most exciting talent in all of football right now. The Norwegian superstar has been nothing short of unbelievable since his rise to prominence a few years back.

Currently at Borussia Dortmund, Haaland has been incredible ever since joining the club. It is believed that a release clause will become active in his contract next summer though and almost all of Europe’s biggest clubs have already been linked with a potential move for him.

It is not hard to see why though. According to stats from Transfermarkt, Haaland has scored 70 goals and provided 19 assists in 69 appearances for Borussia Dortmund till now.

Those stats are almost hard to believe and then there is the fact that he is still just 21 years of age and might be nowhere near his prime at the moment. It is safe to say that signing Haaland would be considered a major coup for any club in world football and Manchester United should definitely try to make a move happen.
