Manchester United have their fair share of problems at this point of time. The side were expected to challenge for the Premier League title coming into the season but instead find themselves sitting at sixth in the points table. And it is not just the results which have been worrying but the performances as well, as it is clear that the Red Devils need to improve all over the pitch.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future at the club appears to be up in the air at the moment. But till now, Manchester United have stuck with the Norwegian.

And it is not hard to see why the club might be reluctant to make a change in the managerial hot seat in the middle of the season.

Thus, it does feel like Solskjaer will remain the manager for now although the club might have no other choice but to make a change if things don’t improve in the near future. And there are several problems that the Norwegian needs to solve if he is get Manchester United’s season back on track.

Last season, it had looked like Manchester United were slowly starting to put their defensive issues behind them, with the likes of Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw playing incredible football.

And when the club signed Raphael Varane this summer, many believed that they could form one of the best backlines in Europe.

Things have not quite turned out that way though as Manchester United have been able to keep only two clean sheets this season till now. Maguire and Shaw have struggled for form, while Varane has struggled for fitness. And no defender has appeared to stand out at Old Trafford.
