Manchester United have one of the best forward lines in all of football right now, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani, Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho in their squad. But the performances on the pitch have left a lot to be desired.
Other than Ronaldo, nobody appears to be a regular source of goals at Manchester United right now. Rashford has done well since returning but it remains to be seen if he can carry on performing like this moving forward.
While the club enjoyed a tremendous summer transfer window, they are already being linked with players they could look to sign in the future. One of the players that they have been heavily linked with for a few years now is Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele.
His current deal with Barcelona is set to run out next summer and many believed that a move to Manchester United could be on the cards. But now, it looks like that might not be the case after all.
Dembele looks set to turn down Manchester United offer
Manchester United and Chelsea are believed to have been tracking the French winger but it looks like he is set to turn down the chance of a blockbuster move to the Premier League. As reported by Mundo Deportivo (via The Sun), Dembele would be willing to even take less money in order to remain at Barcelona.
When Dembele arrived at Barcelona, he was one of the most highly-rated talents in all of Europe and was expected to establish himself as one of the best players in world football in the future.
Things have not quite turned out that way for the Frenchman though. He has struggled with injuries since arriving at Camp Nou and never quite established himself in the Barcelona first-team picture.
Yet there is no question about his potential and there would be no lack of suitors if he left the Camp Nou. But it looks like he could end up staying after all.
