Manchester United might need to strengthen in the middle of the park soon. It is already considered as one of the weak points of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad. And on top of that, a couple of midfielders could end up departing Old Trafford soon in the form of Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek.
Pogba’s current deal with Manchester United runs out next summer and his future is very much up in the air at the moment. On the other hand, Van de Beek has struggled for playing time since joining the club in the summer of 2020 and is expected to leave soon.
As a result, the Red Devils have to make an addition or two there soon. And Inter Milan’s Marcelo Brozovic could prove to be a very interesting option. The Croatian’s contract also runs out next summer.
As reported by Inter Live (via Sport Witness), he has been proposed to several clubs by his camp. One of them is Manchester United.

Brozovic has been linked with a move to the Premier League for a long time but that has not transpired for the Croatian international yet.
At 28 years of age though, he could still get a big move in the near future. And with his current deal with Inter Milan set to run out next summer, it remains to be seen what the future holds. If he does not end up extending his contract with the Italian giants, a move to the Premier League might very well be on the cards.
A defensive midfielder like Brozovic could be the perfect signing for Manchester United at this point of time. They do need reinforcements there with Nemanja Matic being the most natural defensive midfielder at the club right now.
Of course, there is expected to be tough competition for Brozovic’s signature with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur also appearing to be in the mix.
