With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future at Manchester United appearing to be up in the air right now, the club have been linked with several managers over the past week or so, as potential replacements for the Norwegian in case they end up making a change in the future. One of them is Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers.

It is not hard to see why the Red Devils might be interested in Rodgers. He is one of the most highly-rated managers in all of football today and has done a tremendous job at Leicester City over the past few years.

He has guided the Foxes to an FA Cup and a Community Shield till now. And they competed for a top four spot in both of his two full seasons with the club although falling just short on both occasions.

Many rumours have even suggested that Rodgers is Manchester United’s top choice to replace Solskjaer if they do end up parting ways with the Norwegian manager in the future. But when talking about the links, as reported by Manchester Evening News, Rodgers said:

"“I don’t even think about it.“I’m sure the supporters are probably tired of it. At Leicester, there is always a link.“My focus is always here with Leicester and developing the football club and challenging for honours.“The directors, staff and players all have the same vision.”"

Rodgers has been heavily linked with the Manchester United job recently

Rodgers is just one of the many managers who have been linked with the Manchester United job in recent times. Names like Antonio Conte, Zinedine Zidane, Erik ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino have been brought up as well.

Out of all of them though, Rodgers might be the best suited for the role. He has already shown that he can guide teams to trophies during his time with Leicester City as well as Celtic.

On the other hand, Zidane and Ten Hag have never managed in England, while Pochettino did not manage to win a trophy during his time in English football. Conte is one of the best managers in the world and has brought success everywhere he has been but it is believed that there are doubts about whether he is the right fit for Manchester United.
