There could be several changes at Old Trafford soon. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United future appears to be up in the air at the moment but the Norwegian manager will stay on for the time being.

On the other hand, there are several players who could depart the club in the near future after struggling to break into the first-team picture in recent times.

Of course, if a change in manager does happen sometime soon then things could possibly change for these players. But at the moment, they do seem a bit of a distance away from the first-team.

All of them have a lot of potential but the competition for places at the club right now has meant that they have not played a lot of football for Manchester United this season.

When Donny van de Beek arrived at Manchester United from Ajax, he came with a lot of expectations riding on his shoulders.

He had already proven himself in both domestic competition and in Europe during his time at Ajax and was considered as one of the biggest young talents in world football.

There were hopes that he could go on to become a regular part of this Manchester United side for years to come. A little over a year later, and it looks like his Old Trafford exit is only a matter of time as the Dutch midfielder has spent the majority of his time on the bench recently.

When he has featured this season, he has looked pretty good. But opportunities have been few and far between. Thus, a move away from Old Trafford makes sense for Van de Beek, who needs to play regular football at this stage of his career.
