Manchester United find themselves in a tough spot right now when it comes to the managerial situation. The team have made a disappointing start to the season and are coming off of a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool. As a result, a lot of doubts have been raised about the future of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the club.

But for the time being, it looks like the club will stick with Solskjaer as manager and it is not hard to see why they might be reluctant to make a change.

Solskjaer has been with the club for nearly three years now and has assembled quite an impressive squad over that period of time. It would be difficult to find another manager though, whose style would fit this current Manchester United squad.

But the club must be prepared for all possible scenarios and if results don’t improve soon, they might have very little choice but to make a change and show Solskjaer the exit door.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s choice for next Manchester United manager if Solskjaer is sacked

As reported by the Daily Star, Mauricio Pochettino is the choice of Sir Alex Ferguson and he is a huge fan of the Argentine’s style of play.

Pochettino has been linked with the Manchester United job for years now. Of course, the Argentine is the manager of Paris Saint-Germain at the moment and as a result, it would be very difficult to bring him to Old Trafford.

Some questions have been raised about Pochettino’s future at Paris Saint-Germain as well though. Till now, he has not been able to get the best out of the front three of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar. And although the club find themselves in a good position in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League, their performances have failed to catch the eye.
