Manchester United suffered another terrible defeat, this time at the hands of Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp’s side walked out of Old Trafford with a 5-0 victory. Thus, it goes without saying that the questions around Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future at the club are only intensifying.

There is no question that the club have progressed since the Norwegian’s appointment as the manager. They had bounced around the Premier League table for years after Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement but finished in the top four in both of Solskjaer’s full seasons as manager.

But is he the right man to guide this team back to trophies? That is the big question. And when they suffer this kind of a defeat against Liverpool, it just goes on to show the gap between Manchester United and the elite sides in the Premier League.

If the club did decide to replace Solskjaer as manager at some point in the future, one man who has been heavily linked with the Manchester United job for a while is Zinedine Zidane. But what is the Frenchman’s current situation and would he be interested?

As reported by Marca, Zidane is in no rush to return to management at the moment but if he does, he would have no lack of suitors.

While Manchester United have been the most heavily linked with him in recent months, rumours linking him with Paris Saint-Germain and the France national team have not been far away either.

It is not hard to see why there would be such heavy interest in the French manager. One of the greatest players in the history of the game, he has done tremendously in management as well till now, enjoying a couple of great stints with Real Madrid and even guided them to a historic three straight Champions League titles at one point of time.

And his history with Cristiano Ronaldo would make him an even more tempting option if Solskjaer departs in the future.
