Manchester United have not made the start that anybody would have expected coming into the season, especially after signing Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton over the summer. The club are not in good form at the moment, losing four of their past seven games across all competitions.

As a result, it is clear that they need to turn things around as quickly as possible and questions have been raised about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future at the club.

Rumours have suggested that his position as the Manchester United manager is safe for the time being with the club ready to back him as they believe he is the man for the job. It appears that some players do not appear to believe so though.

As reported by The Sun, some Manchester United players reckon that Solskjaer’s future at the club hinges on the upcoming two games, against Atalanta and Liverpool respectively.

Could Solskjaer’s Manchester United future be up in the air?

There was always the feeling that Solskjaer needed to guide this team to a trophy this season. Manchester United have not lifted silverware over their past four seasons, with him being the manager for two-and-a-half of them.

They came very close last season, losing on penalties in the Europa League final and finishing second in the Premier League.

But the club’s recent form has certainly raised some doubts about how long he will remain the Manchester United manager if things do not improve quickly. The fact that they are right now in the middle of one of the toughest phases of their season has not helped matters nor has the fact that several of the club’s top stars are out injured at the moment.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for the Norwegian manager but it must be said that every game is vital for the club’s season moving forward.
