Despite enjoying a great summer transfer window, Manchester United are already being linked with players for future transfer windows. And the €60 million-rated star appears to be someone that they have their eyes set on, as do Chelsea. The likes of Real Madrid, PSG, Liverpool and Manchester City might be interested in the midfielder as well.

Over the summer, Manchester United ended up signing Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton. Thus, they were expected to be one of the frontrunners in the Premier League title race.

The start to the season has not matched the expectations though. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future appears to be very much up in the air once again and it remains to be seen how this season will turn out for the Red Devils. Amidst all this, it must be pointed out that Paul Pogba’s future at Old Trafford remains in question as well, as he is in the final year of his contract.

As reported by ESPN, Aurelien Tchouameni is on Manchester United’s radar in case they fail to agree a new deal for Pogba. AS Monaco will be looking for a transfer fee between €50 million and €60 million. Chelsea have also registered an interest in the player in the past. Scouts from Real Madrid, PSG, Liverpool and Manchester City have all watched him this season.

Manchester United interested in Tchouameni in case Pogba departs the club next summer

Tchouameni has been very impressive ever since joining AS Monaco in January of 2020. Not only has he been one of the standout players in Ligue 1 but he has managed to break into the France national team as well.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Tchouameni has made 60 appearances for AS Monaco till now across all competitions, scoring 5 goals and providing 4 assists.

Signing someone like Tchouameni would be considered a major coup for Manchester United. But it does look like the race for his signature could be very tight with some of the biggest clubs in Europe involved.
